In 1976, the very first Arabica Coffee House was founded on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights. From this humble beginning, Cleveland’s original Coffee House grew to become one of Ohio’s most inspiring success stories. There are now close to 40 Arabica coffee houses throughout the state and plans have been made to expand the thriving franchise into the Midwest region. Once you have tasted Arabica’s drip coffee and Mocha, you will understand why people keep coming back for more. In fact, Arabica Coffee House was voted as the “Best Coffee House in Cleveland” in 2007.

In 1936, LorMet, then known as “National Tube Lorain Works Employees Credit Union,” was founded. From its initial humble assets of a little over $15,000, LorMet has grown to become the largest credit union in Lorain County, Ohio, with assets worth more than $135 million and more than 20,000 members. Now, there are 4 branches and with a new branch slated to be opened in early 2010 in Oberlin, Ohio, LorMet is certainly on the way up.
